Web Resources

I have to share this great find with everyone. I stumbled upon Susie Vesper’s wiki as I was clicking a a variety of links on this freezing cold afternoon. This New Zealand wiki has lots of useful resources and links, a useful resource for anyone strating on the web 2.0 journey.

Susie also has an educational resources web page and a cluster blog.  All sites are well worth investigating.

Lots of Resources

After reading a post from Tim, Blog of MrC I visited the site. You may want to check it out too – there are heaps of useful resources and the software video tutorials look particularly useful.

I’ve used teach-ict.com a lot, especially for their starter activities. Now they have added software video tutorials which cover lots of basic and not so basic skills. I used themrecently in a year 7 lesson as a starter, I pointed the class to the excel section and told them they had 5 minutes to learn two new things about excel. After the five minutes were up they were very enthusiastic about sharing what they had discovered – I didn’t teach them anything….

English Resources

A recent RSS feed reminded me about this site which I have visited and used in the past. It has some good resources (pdf format) that are useful for using in your writing programme.

The site is Teaching That Makes Sense

Wiktionary
